Coming from Mexico, where the beaches were pristine, the water clear blue, the people for the most part pleasant to be around, and then getting dumped back in Jersey the so called "armpit of America" is very depressing. Theres litter all over the beaches, you cant see your foot once the water gets past your ankles, and don't get me started on the Jersey Shore crowd. Now listen, don't get me wrong if you cut me off on the highway I'm gonna give you the "Jersey Bird" like any other guy, but that doesn't mean I wanna be around those people while I'm trying to have a relaxing day at the beach. This was my first time I made it down to the shore since last summer, so even though I wasn't too happy about being back from Mexico where the beaches are beautiful, Jersey's got one thing Mexico doesn't. Three Brothers pizza. My fellow New Jerseyans know what I'm talkin about. Once slice of their pizza could feed a whole African village I swear to God. Another thing that Jersey has, boardwalks. Maybe I just wasn't in the right part of Mexico, but where I was there were no balloon darts to be found. I mean, what do Mexican kids do for fun in the summer? Ever since I was a little kid my Dad would take me to Seaside or Point Pleasant and brought me to the balloon darts booth because according to him "It's the only one that's not rigged". Heres a Pro Tip on balloon darts: Find the booth with the biggest balloons and make sure they aren't sectioned off because they wont pop as easily. Also, throw at a balloon thats in a cluster because even if you miss the one you were aiming for you may hit another. Anyways, back to the story. From going to the shore every summer and practicing my balloon dart skills, I know I'm guaranteed a win every time. Today was no different, I won a puppy dog and a small Starbucks drink plush I ended up giving to my dog Hudson. My friends Sam and Carrie can already drive so we left the beach and went to play pool, unfortunately my father had not been teaching me this and I only hit one ball in. Oh well!
